FLINT -- Accused serial stabber Elias Abuelazam was back in the courtroom on Tuesday as opening arguments began at the Genesee County Courthouse. Abuelazam is charged with the killing of Arnold Minor in the summer of 2010.
An opening statement was made by Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton however the defense chose not to make an opening statement.
Abuelazam was placed in an electronic tether to ensure courtroom safety.
A total of 12 jurors and four alternates were selected last week.
The 35-year-old Israeli native has been linked to as many of 16 stabbings in three states.
