Students from McKinley and Holmes to attend current high schools next year

FLINT -- In a somehwat surprising decision the Flint School Board has decided to close McKinley and Holmes Middle Schools, closing the doors on both existing middle schools in Flint.

Students in grades 7-12 will attend the three existing high schools beginning next year.

Less of a surprise, the district will close Summerfield and Bunche elementary schools.

The plan will go before the board for final approval on May 16th.
