It's National Police Week across mid-Michigan and several departments are taking part.
In Saginaw Township, officers and their families gatherd for a service to honor fallen officers.
Police stood at attention as a flag was raised. Before that, an awards ceremony recognized the heroic deeds of officers this past year.
Officers in Genesee County also gathered for a memorial service. The ceremony was held at Flint Memorial Park Cemetary. The tribute is in its 53rd year.
