We have received an update from Consumer's Energy about the outage numbers in Genesee County. They are as followed:
Flint: 13,600
Grand Blanc: 3,026
Flushing, 3,551
Genesee County: 36,410
Saginaw County: 4,430
Shiawassee County: 8,060
Statewide: 68,600
Consumer's Energy says 14 substations have been effected by the storm. There are still multiple downed powerlines throughout the region.
Those affected will not have power back up and running until atleast Saturday night or Sunday morning at the easliest.
It is advised those without power go to cooling stations for relief. Log onto www.consumersenergy.com for more info.

Consumer's Energy has updated its power outage numbers:
Genesee County: 35,984
Saginaw County: 4,388
Shiawasse County: 7,560
Statewide: 86,500
We have also confirmed that DTE is reporting over 280,000 outages in the Detroit metro area.

More severe weather swept through the region early on Thursday morning causing thousands of power outages.
Consumers Energy says approximately 60,000 customers are without power with over 23,000 of them coming from Genesee County.
Saginaw County has reported approximately 3,200 outages, 2,200 in Midland County, 5,300 in Shiawassee County and 3,200 in Gladwin County. Zero outages have been reported in Bay, Lapeer and Ogemaw Counties.
Multiple reports of power wires and trees down have coming in throughout the morning.
