Baker College closed again

Baker College of Flint is closed for a second consecutive day because of a power outage.Consumers Energy says 52 thousand of its customers are still without power as of 5 am Friday. Some are using portable generators to get by.

Consumers Energy spokeswoman Mary Gust says in Genesee County, almost 27 thousand customers have no electricity. Shiawassee County has 4515 in the dark. Saginaw County has 1197 and Gratiot County has 277 without power.

Because of 100 degree heat expected for Friday, cooling centers have been set up at Senior Centers in Grand Blanc, Flushing and Flint Township. In Saginaw and Bay Counties, people can cool off at fire stations. Of cource, you can always go to a mall or a library to cool off!
