FLINT -- Flint police say they arrested James Paul Simpkins, 20, on three counts of open murder, one count of intent to murder and one count of felony firearm possession.

Officials are calling this case tragic as Anthony Simpkins, 21,  the alleged shooter's brother is among the victim's killed. Police also confirmed Bobby Jackson, 36, was also murdered in the home.

Simpkins was arraigned in Genesee County district court on Friday.

It began on Tuesday night when five people from Detroit came to Flint to help a friend move in on Tacken Street. Police said they were all drinking and smoking marijuana.

Later that night the crew began to make fun of Simpkins, who later opened fire.

Police say Simpkins shot everyone including two women, and two men, one of which was his brother.  Three of the four victims were killed.

The lone surviving victim, 20-year-old Jacinta Mills, managed to escape the home despite being shot twice in the genitals.  She then walked two blocks to a neighbor's house on Fraser Street where she called police.

Mills is now in Stable condition at Hurley Medical Center.

Police have not released the names of the deceased as they are still in the process of contacting the next of kin.
