FLINT -- It was a particularly violent weekend in Flint where two young people were killed in separate incidents.

On Sunday morning, a 16-year-old boy was killed outside the River Park Apartments on the 7000 block of Pemberton Drive.

Also in Flint a second shooting just miles away took the life of a 20-year-old man.

That incident took place on Clio Road in the parking lot of Dawn Donuts.

Flint police say the Clio Road victim was transported to Hurley Medical Center in critical condition, but died later at the hospital.

The shootings are the 39th and 40th homicides of the year in Flint.

Anyone with more information about either incident is asked to call Flint Police or Crimstoppers.
