KOCHVILLE TOWNSHIP -- Saginaw Valley State University says it has agreed to aid a college in Ghana in developing its science, engineering and mathematics programs.

Under the project, faculty in Saginaw Valley's College of Science, Engineering and Technology will work with Pentecost faculty in engineering, health and computing.

The relationship also calls for student exchanges and exploration of faculty exchanges and joint research projects.

"We will be able to share some lessons with them but also learn lessons from them. Also, give our students an opportunity to go and see what going on in Ghana which is a fast growing economy," says SVSU spokesman J.J. Boehm.

Pentecost University College opened in the West Africa with one hundred seventy-one students in 2005 and now has about thirty-eight hundred.
