FLINT -- The streets of Flint began to fill in the early hours of the morning as runners came to get stretched out and spectators came to steak out a good spot.

Men’s ten mile champion Julius Kogo swept the competition for the third straight year and says he comes back for the area.

“It is a nice area I like it here and I pray next year I'll be winning again, said Kogo."

Despite record crowds on and off the course runners complimented the coordination of this years race.

“The whole city gets up for this race. Its one of the biggest if not the biggest race in Michigan. The Detroit marathon is great but as far as race management and everything this is it right here,” said runner Mike Morgan.

While Morgan enjoyed the coordination of the event other runners relied on their surroundings.

“When your running along the side and you see a lot of people supporting clapping and cheering you on it just gives you the little extra energy to keep going,” said Michigan native Jason Dubey.

As I stood at the finish line it was a treat to hear where each runner was from. Knowing that runners came from throughout the United States and the world made this years Crim one to remember.
