FLINT -- Southwestern Classical Academy dismissed it's students early today due to a power outage in that area of Flint.
Students will be transported home by bus.
Students may also be released to a parent or guardian.
Via Consumers Energy, 5,846 outages have been reported today in Flint.
A nearby substation had equipment failure at 10:30 a.m. this morning which caused the outage.
Just over 2,000 were be restored around 1 p.m. this afternoon
The remaining 3,400 were restored around 2:30p.m.
