SAGINAW -- The Yellow Ribbon Guard out of Reese is doing its part to bring some holiday spirit to troops serving overseas.

The group dropped in on the Saginaw Medical Federal Credit Union Friday to host a care package drive as part of the 8th annual "Send Santa to the Troops" campaign.

Care packages were collected to be shipped out for the holiday season.

Some kids even gave up their Halloween candy.

"When the kids just came here that was amazing that's the best thing we can let everybody know every little big helps. If everybody does a little big nobody has to do a lot," says Michael Bryke of the Yellow Ribbon Guard.

Sunday, the Yellow Ribbon Guard is holding a care package drive in West Branch at Glen's Market from 8a.m. to 3p.m.
