FLINT -- A Thanksgiving tradition for seniors enters its thirty-second year in Flint. County Commissioner Brenda Clack and her husband, former County Commissioner Floyd Clack held their annual senior citizen thanksgiving dinner.

Several hundred people turned out for a meal with all the fixings. The Clacks say it's become an important part of their holiday season.

"It means a lot because some people don't have the opportunity to enjoy a thanksgiving dinner, so by them doing this it gives them the opportunity to share in on this holiday season,” said Phil Johnson.

The first senior Thanksgiving was held in 1980 at the Detroit Street Senior Center. It was later moved to Foss Avenue Baptist Church, where it's been held ever since.
