Saginaw High has eight returners from their 26-2 Class A championship team last season. They’ll have their hands full with a newly loaded Saginaw Valley League in order to repeat that task.

It will be an old foe that will provide the biggest challenge though.

Among the newest members of the SVL are Carman-Ainsworth with all-state guard Denzel Watts and Class A Regional runner-up Flint Northwestern, who lost to the eventual-state champion Trojans.

But despite losing All-State forward Jordan Hare to graduation, it is Saginaw Arthur Hill that returns an All-Conference backcourt in sophomore Eric Davis and All-State guard Jalen Adams.

“He’s electrifying,” Prep Wars scout Finley Fuller said of Adams. “He will jump out of the gym.”

The senior will also score, leading the Lumberjacks with 21 points last season. Fuller believes Adams will be even better in 2013.

“He’s worked on his outside game and he’s starting to get a reliable jump shot,” Fuller said.
