DETROIT, MI. (AP) -- Michigan Congressman John Conyers says there's been so much interest in attending President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration that he plans to raffle off his allotment of tickets.

The Democrat from Detroit tells WWJ-AM he's received requests for about 6,000 tickets, and has an allotment of about 190 tickets.

So he'll hold a drawing Saturday at a campaign office in Detroit.

Conyers' spokeswoman Karen Morgan says those who want tickets should call the congressman's offices in Detroit or Washington, D.C. by the close of business Friday, and will need to leave their name and contact information.

Obama's inauguration is Jan. 20.
