GRAND RAPIDS (AP) -- One of many U.S. flags raised over the Capitol building in Washington during President Barack Obama's inauguration now is flying at a Grand Rapids school.

The special flag was raised Monday morning at Grand Rapids University Preparatory Academy. WZZM-TV says Republican U.S. Rep. Vern Ehlers presented the flag to the school.

The academy is made up of sixth- and seventh-graders. It's part of Grand Rapids Public Schools and offers a curriculum aimed at keeping students on track for college.
