MOUNT CLEMENS (AP) -- The Macomb County prosecutor wants a judge to stop the release of a 21-year-old man who has served nearly five years in prison for threatening violence at a high school.
Prison officials say Andrew Osantowski has been a model inmate. The Michigan Parole Board granted his release, and he's expected to be freed Wednesday.
Prosecutor Eric Smith wants a Macomb County judge to stop Osantowski's release while an appeal is prepared. The Macomb Daily reports a court hearing is possible Tuesday.
In 2004, a search of Osantowski's Clinton Township home yielded weapons, ammunition and bomb-making paraphernalia. Police say he threatened a massacre at Chippewa Valley High School near Mount Clemens.
