LANSING (AP) -- Michigan will get more than $3 million from the federal stimulus plan to boost nutrition services in the state.
The money announced Wednesday will be distributed based on existing federal formulas.
The cash will go to support meal services for low-income people, including homebound senior citizens and programs at senior centers and schools.
The White House says about $100 million will be distributed nationwide to provide about 14 million meals. It's a small piece of the $787 billion federal stimulus plan signed into law earlier this year.
