3 Buena Vista school representatives charged

The Saginaw County Prosecutor's Office has charged Alvin Jernigan, Julius Boarden, and Leonard Williams with crimes related to the May 5, 2009 Buena Vista school board elections.
Jernigan is charged with 8 counts of felony Improper Possession/ Return of Absent Voter Ballots and 5 counts of misdemeanor False Statements in application for Absentee Voter Ballots.
Boarden is charged with 3 misdemeanor county of False Statement in Applications for Absentee Ballots.
Williams is charged with 5 counts of felony Improper Possession/ Return of Absent Voter Ballots and 3 counts of misdemeanor False Statement in an Application for Absentee Voter Ballots.
Boarden and Williams were candidates for the Buena Vista School Board, and Jernigan was a member of the Buena Vista Township School Baord but was not a candidate in that election. Neither Boarden nor Williams were appointed by the clerk to possess ballots.
