The body of a missing Madison Heights woman, which was found in Saginaw Bay on Saturday, has been identified, according to Huron County Sheriff Kelly J. Hanson.
Catherine Nativite Hoskinson, 48, was last heard from on Sept. 20 after a day at Port Crescent State Park Day Use Beach in Hume Township.
Her 2008 Pontiac Grand Am was parked in a lot near the park and her personal items were found on the beach by someone walking along the beachfront.
Clothing, car keys, a Michigan driver's license and cell phone were found on the eastern edge of the swimming area. Hurton County Sheriff's Deputies contacted Hoskinson's family with numbers from her phone.
Hoskinson's family said that she has had some recent personal issues and has been depressed.
Because the body was badly decomposed, dental records were needed to make a positive identification. The cause of death has been determined to be drowning.
