FLINT -- A local organization is giving a gift they hope will be passed on and on in the community.

The Holiday Inn-Gateway hosted a pay it forward donation drive to benefit Carriage Town Ministries in flint.

People were asked to bring donations to help those in need.

The Holiday Inn-Gateway says they hope people will see good deeds being done in the community and go out and do more good deeds.

Barbara LaRose from the Holiday Inn - Gateway says,  "everybody needs to rely on somebody… we're here to help people in the area as much as we possibly can."

Carriage Town Ministry offers shelter, meals, Christian counseling, and clothing to the homeless and needy.

You can donate to this cause at Carriage Town Ministries in Flint Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
