Cell phone taken from U of M Flint student

The Department of Public Safety at the University of Michigan Flint is asking for the publics help looking for five suspects involved in a larceny on campus.

The larceny took place on December 2, 2009 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police say two students were walking from the First Street Residence Hall toward the University Center. The two students were approached by five men.  One of the men asked to use a cell phone. The suspect then refused to give back the phone.  A brief physical altercation ensued, and the five men fled the scene with the cell phone. 

Police are looking for the following suspects described below:

  • The suspect who took the cell phone is described as a black male, approximately 18-20 years old, 5'7", about 130 pounds, with a low fade hair cut, wearing blue jeans and a green and black sweatshirt.
  • The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 18-20 years old, 6'1", about 220 pounds, wearing a black hat and a black coat.
  • The other three suspects were black males, between the ages of 18-20 years old, wearing dark clothing.
