UNION TWP. -- Former Union Township Supervisor, Gwen Plowman, has been sentenced for embezzling nearly $40,000 of public funds.

The Bay City Times reports Plowman used the township credit card to buy gas for her vehicle.

The Isabella County Court tells us in addition to the restitution payment, Plowman was sentenced to 5 years of probation.
