NBC25 has an update to a story we first brought you September 30th of last year.
Emil Myers says was speeding because he was taking his wife to the hospital who had miscarried and was in extreme pain.
A Midland County Sheriff's deputy pulled him over for going 96-miles an hour.
The deputy eventually followed the driver and his wife to the hospital.
The driver says the deputy acted inappropriately because he kept him too long.
The sheriff says the deputy did the right thing by making sure the occupants and situation were identified.
The driver tells NBC25 the speeding ticket was dropped.
The sheriff says, if you are in an emergency, don't speed, and call 9-1-1 for an ambulance.
