(AP) -- DETROIT (AP) - If they can get through snow, jurors will resume deliberations in the federal corruption trial of a man who worked for former Detroit City Council member Monica Conyers. There was no verdict Tuesday, the first full day of deliberations in the Sam Riddle case. He made small talk while sitting outside the courtroom and asked reporters for their opinions on the jury's work.
Jurors are expected at the federal courthouse at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Riddle is accused of conspiring with Conyers to extort bribes from people with business at city hall or Detroit's pension board in 2006 and 2007. He says he had a legitimate consulting business.
Conyers, the wife of Detroit congressman John Conyers, pleaded guilty last summer to conspiracy.
