He's served the Genesee School District for nearly half a century, and now he's saying goodbye.

Genesee Intermediate School District Superintendent Thomas Svitkovich has announced his retirement.

He has served for 46 years in education with 41 of those as a school administrator.

His retirement is scheduled for September 30th pending a new superintendent selection.
