Fundraiser for firefighter needing kidney transplant

CLIO -- Thetford Township is hosting a spaghetti dinner benefit for a firefighter in need of a kidney transplant.
Darin Defreese has a rare kidney disease called L-Cat Deficiency. He received his first transplant in February 1998, and is now in need of another.
Darin was a firefighter of the Burton Fire Department for 15 years. He has been a firefighter of the Clio Fire Department since 1999. He has also worked at Simms Chevrolet in Clio.
Saturday, March 6th Thetford Township is hosting a spaghetti dinner to raise money for his medical needs.
The dinner will be at the township hall located on 4014 E. Vienna Rd. in Clio from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Adult dinners are $10.00 and children under age 10 can eat for $7.00. Tickets can also be purchased in advance at the township hall or by calling 810-691-0493.
Donations can also be made by check and mailed to the fire department.
