(AP) -- The deadline for prosecutors and the attorneys representing Kwame Kilpatrick to submit paperwork in the former Detroit mayor's probation violation case is approaching. Wayne County Circuit Judge David Groner gave both sides until noon Wednesday to deliver paperwork based on their review of documents and other evidence.
Kilpatrick is accused of violating his probation by failing to make a $79,011 restitution payment by Feb. 19 as ordered by Groner. Kilpatrick was arraigned last month on a bench warrant and released on bond. He is due back in court Tuesday for closing arguments.
He resigned as mayor in 2008 and served 99 days in jail as part of pleas in two criminal cases stemming from a text-messaging sex scandal. He also was ordered to pay $1 million in restitution.
