TUSCOLA CO. (AP) -- A Tuscola County man accused of wielding a gun while visiting the agency from which his wife had been laid off will undergo a psychological evaluation to determine whether he is competent to stand trial.

Reports say Judge Kim Glaspie on Monday ordered 41-year-old Patrick Henderson of Deford to be evaluated at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Ypsilanti. Henderson faces three counts of assaulting, obstructing and resisting a police officer; two counts of unlawful imprisonment; and 12 firearms-related charges.

Police say on April 14 Henderson entered the city's Human Development Commission about 80 miles north of Detroit demanding answers about his wife's dismissal.

A message seeking comment was left with his lawyer, Michael D. Hodges.
