The Michigan Department of Transportation is hosting an open house-style meeting to share plans for the proposed M-115 improvements project in Clare County. The work, which extends 7.3 miles from Pioneer Parkway northwest to US-10, is expected to begin in June with completion in October.

Interested residents are invited to stop by anytime to view displays and learn more about the project. Public input is sought to help MDOT recognize and address any concerns. MDOT staff members will be available to answer questions.

The meeting is at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25 at the Farwell Village Hall, 109 South Hall St., Farwell

For special accommodations, call 989-773-7756, ext. 302

MDOT is investing $6.6 million for resurfacing and intersection upgrades on M-115 in Clare County. This project also includes drainage and guardrail improvements, along with constructing left-turn lanes at various locations. Crews also will replace the culvert at Overton Creek.

Traffic will be maintained under flag control, along with shoulder closures as required, and using a temporary signal during the culvert work, located just west of Vandecar Road in the village of Farwell.
