BAY CITY -- The following is a report from the Bay City Police Department:

Around 10:14 p.m. Wednesday, the Bay City Police responded to an armed robbery that occurred at the Ideal Party Store on Johnson Street. Troopers from the Michigan State Police also responded to assist.

The suspect brandished a knife and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect then fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect was described as a white male with a thin build and stood approximately six feet tall. The suspect was wearing loose fitting blue jeans, a long sleeve black shirt, brown sunglasses and a mask.

None of the employees working at the store were harmed during the robbery.
