DETROIT (AP) -- The United Auto Workers have elected a new president during the Detroit convention.

Bob King is a longtime labor negotiator who says one of his priorities is to boost membership in the UAW.

UAW President Ron Gettelfinger stepped down after eight years as president because of the union's age limits.
