Question: Is this program rewarding the irresponsible?
FLINT -- Governor Jennifer Granholm will be in Flint Wednesday to discuss a new program that is expected to help home owners avoid foreclosure.
In a press release, the governor says she will discuss the state's new $154.5 million Hardest Hit Homeowners Fund as part of the U.S. Department of Treasury and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding through the Obama administration.
The governor will be joined by representatives from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), the Michigan Bankers Association, Michigan Credit Union League, and the Michigan Association of Community Bankers.
The press conference will be at the First Presbyterian Church on S. Saginaw Street in Flint at 1:15.
NBC25’s Kim Russell will be at this event and will have a full report on NBC25 News at 6:00 p.m.
