ISABELLA CO. -- The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home invasion on Bertshire Lane at approximately 1:35 a.m. this morning. An unknown male entered a home through an unlocked bedroom window. While in the home, he inappropriately touched two individuals on top of their clothing who had been sleeping. The suspect was scared away by one of the residents. It is possible the suspect fled on a bicycle. The bicycle is described as a black mountain bike with silver handlebars with black tape. The bicycle seat did not sit on top of a post; rather it was a shock style seat that connected directly to the bike’s frame.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and a thin build. He's about 18-20 years old with shaggy brown hair. He was wearing a bright green shirt, dark shorts and high top tennis shoes that appeared to be white in color.
A K-9 was brought to the scene and was unable to locate the suspect. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect and bicycle but were unable to locate them.
The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Saginaw-Chippewa Tribal Police and Mt. Pleasant Police.
