Jon Secada, Freda Payne highlight Flint Jazz Festival

Flint, MI - The 29th annual Jazz Festival will be held at Riverbank Park in downtown Flint from Aug. 6-8.

Three-time Grammy award winning recording artist, Jon Secada, will be the featured performer on Sunday, Aug. 8, while Detroit’s Freda Payne will bring her inspired tribute to Ella Fitzgerald to Flint on Saturday.

The music will start Friday, Aug. 6 at 5:30 p.m. with Ben Schlatter, followed by Sherm Mitchell at 7 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, the music starts at 2:30 p.m. and continues through 8:30 p.m. Included during the weekend will be Sherwood Pea & Friends, Kevin Collins, Smooth Operations, Pat Cronley and the Sheila Landis Quartet featuring Rick Matie.
