PORT HURON (AP) -- A man has been arrested in his girlfriend's home after a police standoff in connection with the death of one person and injuries to three others in Port Huron.

The Times Herald says the man surrendered about 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lexington, about 70 miles northeast of Detroit.

Authorities say the woman called police about 7:30 a.m. when her boyfriend arrived with blood on his clothes.

He is a suspect in an early morning attack on four people about 20 miles to the southeast in Port Huron.

Police Chief Don Porrett says two men and one woman were inside the Port Huron home and suffered "large lacerations." One man was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. Another man is believed to have sought treatment at a hospital on his own.
