GLADWIN CO. -- A 39-year-old Gladwin County man is dead and a woman is behind bars in connection to the murder.

Jeffrey Robert Beougher was found dead at his home around 5 p.m. Monday.  He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

Michigan State Police have arrested a 37-year-old woman. She is currently lodged in the Gladwin County Jail on an open murder charge, pending arraignment.

Police are continuing to investigate the homicide case.
