The Midland Police Department, with the help of area students, busted three businesses Monday night during a routine compliance check among 31 businesses licensed to sell alcohol.

Underage youths worked with police officers, entering area businesses and attempting to illegally purchase alcohol. Three retailers sold to underage buyers who were working with the police department. They are:

1. Walmart 910 Joe Man
2. White Star 517 S. Saginaw
3. Express Mart 2713 Waldo

The businesses were referred to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission for failing to comply with the state’s alcohol laws.
