Crews have repaired gas main which was the source of gas leak Monday. Henry Street re-opened shortly after 9:30 p.m.

Consumers Energy has found a cracked gas main that is the source of the gas leak. Crews are keeping Henry Street, between Thomas and Jenny, closed until the work is complete. Consumers estimate that the work will take 2-3 hours. Only one residence had service affected by the leak.
Update at 2:49 p.m.
Henry Street is still closed. Family Video workers informed Consumers Energy that they smelled gas. Consumers believes it might be in the sewer system and has begun excavating to get to the potential source. Veterans' Bridge is open to traffic.

Consumers Energy said that Henry Street between Thomas and Jenny in Bay City will be closed for about an hour because of a natural gas leak. We'll let you know when Henry re-opens.
