According to the Flint Journal, Hamady Middle School in Mount Morris Township has reopened. 

School leaders evacuated the middle school and high school just after classes began Wednesday morning when someone in the middle school building reported the smell of natural gas.

The first Police Dispatch call went out over the radio at 8:28 a.m. Fire crews were called to the scene.

According to the newspaper, the smell was first noticed in the library area. 

The school is located at 3223 West Carpenter Road.
