Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson says the man responsible for a high speed chase through several communities is in jail.

It started just before midnight, late Friday night in Sherman Township.

Deputy Brandon Kadar tried to stop a driver traveling more than 70 miles per hour on M-25 near Atwater Road.   He says the driver would not pull over.

Deputy Kadar started chasing the driver as he sped at speeds near 90 miles per hour.  Harbor Beech City Police joined in the chase as it came into their area.

The chase finally ended in Harbor Beach when the driver surrendered.

Authorities arrested a 45-year-old Harbor Beach man.  He now faces charges of fleeing and eluding, operating under the influence, and driving without a license.
