"Partners for Progress" is paying off.

That's the message from the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The GRCC held a press conference prior to its annual meeting at the Riverfront Conference Center in Flint.

It says one of its biggest success stories of 2010 was Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, who chose Flint for its headquarters over any other city or state.

Officials say the group's positive attitude is paying off.

GRCC CEO Tim Herman says, "In 2010, the team completed 11 job-retention and expansion investment projects that totaled nearly $145 million in investments."

The GRCC says its goals for 2011 are to grow jobs mostly through retention and expansion of existing small businesses.

It also wants to boost its summer work program to 500 students.
