Should Michigan give welfare a four year lifetime limit?

This story has received dozens of comments both here and on the NBC25 Facebook page. On Facebook, State Representative Ken Horn has clarified that the reform does not include food assistance, daycare, or children's medical assistance.

The Associated Press reports the Senate voted 26-12 along party lines to pass the budget bill that included the welfare limits.
Welfare could be given a four year lifetime limit.
According to the Associated Press, Michigan’s Senate voted Tuesday to pass a bill that included the welfare limitations.
In February, NBC25’s Dave Kinchen investigated Governor Rick Snyder’s proposal to cut welfare. Like his proposal, these cuts would provide exceptions in cases of incapacity or hardship.
Democratic opponents are arguing that the welfare slash will drive more people into poverty, and increase the economic crisis.
