FLINT -- An emergency landing at Bishop International Airport Friday night caused quite a scare.

Just after 5:30 p.m. a Cleveland-bound flight was forced to return to the terminal after it was feared that smoke was coming from the cargo hold.

31 passengers were on board that Continental flight.

The pilot made a safe landing and everyone was able to evacuate the plane.

Airport crews found the cause of the smoke was nothing more than a faulty indicator light.

"Just like in your car, you get a bad bulb once in a while.  So fortunately, that probably was the situation.  But even at that, it's a little scary for people.  But nobody was hurt, everybody responded appropriately.  You wish every emergency ended that way," said Jim Rice, the Director of Bishop International Airport.

Several agencies responded to help out with the landing.
