A proposed topless bar is outraging many residents in Garfield Township.

So many people showed up to the board meeting Monday night the venue was moved outside the township hall.

The issue at hand involves the Silver Derby Bar in Crump.

The Township Supervisor says the bar owner is considering applying for a license that will allow wait staff to go topless for special events.

About 150 people voiced their concerns, saying the small town's morality and its children are put at risk, but not everyone agrees.

"That type of activity, adult entertainment, brings to a community a way it can destroy individuals and also relationships. I think it has a tremendous negative impact," said James Massung, a Garfield Township resident.

"I'm just wondering what the real issue is with this, I mean morality? I don't know, I don't think it would really hurt the community, in fact it would bring other people here," said Mitch Doty, a Garfield Township resident.

The Garfield Township Board will ask the state to deny the permit.
