A local man caught with nine dead deer in his barn will spend 15-days in jail.

John Cooper of Vassar Township has to pay $6,500.

His hunting privileges are revoked until 2014.

The Saginaw News says Cooper denies shooting the deer but still pleaded guilty to having them illegally.

Authorities also took 22 guns from the residence.

Cooper will be allowed to leave the jail in Caro to work during the day.
