The Universal Kidney Foundation in Genesee County is working to prevent, treat, and educate folks about chronic kidney disease.
The foundation will soon install touch-screen computers at local community centers so that the public can get information about kidney issues.
It says this technology can help those who want to find out if they are at risk of kidney disease.
The UKF says it is working to empower the public to take their health seriously.
"When we talk about quality healthcare and quality information, It isn't just when they go to the doctor. It's what are they able to obtain on their own," says executive director E. Yvonne Lewis.
The foundation wants to install machines that can check your blood pressure, height, weight, and other factors to let you know how you're doing with your health.
