CRAWFORD COUNTY -- A 5-year-old girl from the Crawford County area has been reportedly missing since Sunday, and could be heading south.
NBC25’s sister station, 7&4 News, reports Naveah Wiles was allegedly kidnapped by her mother, Cassandra Richardson, and may be on the way to Alabama.
A relative of the child tells NBC25 that Richardson doesn’t have custody of the child, and abducted her during one of the child’s scheduled visitations. The sheriff has issued a warrant for the mother’s arrest.
According to 7&4, the sheriff does not believe the child is in danger, and that is why an Amber Alert has not yet been issued.
If you see the child, or have any information on her where-abouts, you’re asked to call the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department at 989-348-4616.
