SAGINAW CO. -- The Covenant HealthCare employee, who law enforcement officials caught selling drugs in the hospital’s parking lot, has reached a deal that could keep her out of jail.
The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department says Anndrea Alena Williams had been dealing crack cocaine in the hospital’s parking lot while she was on the clock. Williams worked as the health unit coordinator in the OB unit. She had been employed with the hospital for about nine years.
Wednesday, Williams pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to deliver under 50 grams of cocaine.
In exchange, her other drug charges will be dropped, likely allowing her to avoid jail time. According to court paperwork, if the judge does decide to sentence Williams to serve time, she will be placed under house arrest.
Williams is scheduled to be sentenced on August 22nd.
