Police say two Michigan brothers who ran away following a custody hearing last month have been found safe.
15-year-old Stephen McPherson and 12-year-old Jonathan McPherson showed up Tuesday at the Arenac County courthouse in Standish. The boys are in good health, but police didn't say where they had been. The boys currently are in state custody.
They ran away from an aunt's home in the Bay County community of Auburn on July 21 after the hearing in Arenac County Family Court. Police say the boys weren't happy about the hearing's outcome. Details about the hearing weren't released.
The Saginaw News reports that the McPherson’s aunt, Ashley Kipfmiller, said the boys spend summers with their mother in Standish and live with their father in Tennessee during the school year.
