If you couldn't afford to get away for the Labor Day Weekend, you might want to keep your eyes open for upcoming travel price drops.
Genevieve Shaw Brown with Travelocity tells NBC News that after Labor Day, travel prices decline, as the summer ends and destinations try to squeeze in last minute vacationer dollars. "it's a particularly good time, for example to go to Europe when the weather's still good and the prices are about 20-to-30% less than you find in the summer months,” Brown tells NBC.
Also starting after the holiday, most cruise prices drop to less than $100 per person per night, and hotel rates often do as well.
